Meet My Guest ~ Author ~ K.I. Lynn

It’s a pleasure to have K.I. Lynn here and to get to know her better.

Here’s what she had to say …

Interview:

Name one actor/actress you would love to get naughty with?
Jensen Ackles. I’d have that man’s babies in a heartbeat!

Do you suffer from sleepwalking?
No, but I tell you in this zombie apocalypse day and age I’m VERY happy about that fact. Nothing would suck more than to be brained because I was sleepwalking and someone thought I was a walker.

Which is the one television character that you simply adore?
Dean Winchester. Adore, love, want to do very naughty things too.

Which is your favorite genre of movies? (Comedy/Romance/Suspense/Action/Horror)
Based on my Netflix, I’d have to say Horror. I like dark, creepy movies.

What do you do when you feel very sad or depressed?
Eat and play Champions of Norrath.

What makes you angry? Are you short-tempered? How do you overcome your anger?
Stupidity and people being assholes just to be an asshole. I vent on Facebook, and then usually I’m good, except when it comes to some subjects.

Which is the best vacation you’ve ever had?
I spent seven weeks in Perugia, Italy with my best friend when I was twenty-two. No internet. No TV. No cell phones. Just her and me and Italy. It was awesome and I’ve been dying to go back ever since.

If given complete freedom to start afresh, what profession would you choose and why?
Hmm, that is kind of what I’m doing right now, so I guess I’d say author. 😀

Are you a morning person or a night person?
Morning. I’ve never been able to stay up terribly late. I’m lame like that. :/

Love getting to know fellow authors. Thank you for taking the time to stop by. I’ll definitely have to get your book! 🙂

Author Bio:
K.I. Lynn spent her life in the arts, everything from music to painting and ceramics, then to writing. Characters have always run around in her head, acting out their stories, but it wasn’t until later in life she would put them to pen. It would turn out to be the one thing she was really passionate about.

Since she began posting stories online, she’s garnered acclaim for her diverse stories and hard hitting writing style. Two stories and characters are never the same, her brain moving through different ideas faster than she can write them down as it also plots its quest for world domination…or cheese. Whichever is easier to obtain… Usually it’s cheese.

Book Summary:
Delilah Palmer has control of her life and outward personality, blocking the truth just below the surface. A façade meant to be normal and hide the scars of her childhood. She’s made a good life for herself, became a lawyer, and is free from the tortured past that haunts her daily. Until he comes along and breaks open the cracks.

Nathan Thorne has a past of his own. On the surface he is loved by all, personable, extroverted; everything Delilah isn’t. Hidden beneath is a dark and tormented man that only Delilah has to power to unveil.

Crammed in a small office together they see through each other’s masks, and the draw becomes too much, igniting an explosive relationship. Holloway and Holloway Law has a strict non-fraternization policy, forcing them to conceal their breach. Despite their efforts, separation becomes impossible, deceptions escalate, and Nathan has trouble coping; teetering on the edge of being overtaken by his past demons.

Can they accept love and deal with all the trials that come their way when secrets are exposed? Or will they fall through the cracks of their pasts and be consumed by all that haunts them?

Excerpt from chapter 1:
“Which girl do you have your sights set on?” I took my seat, caffeine injection number five for the day in hand.
“Excuse me?”
“Which one? They’ve all been vying for you attention; wondering which one of them you’ll pick to screw. I’m amazed they’re throwing themselves at you, not even caring about their jobs.”
“You’re talking about the non-fraternization policy.”
“Holloway is very strict on it now, ever since the Antonio and Karen incident. Lots of drama and problems there. So, now they just get rid of one or both parties. That’s why it surprised me so many of them are willing to give up their jobs for your junk.”
His face lit up with that smirk that made me, and every other woman in the office, wet. “I do have pretty impressive junk.”
I snorted, rolling my eyes. “Please.”
“Do I need to prove it to you?” He stood, hands at his belt buckle, pulling the leather through the first loop.
I hid my eyes behind my hand. “Keep it in your pants, Casanova.”
“I’m surprised you care about them.”
“I don’t.”
“Then don’t worry. One of the reasons I agreed to come here was because of their strictness on office fraternization. I thought it would keep them away, but it doesn’t seem to be enough.” He sighed, his expression becoming dark; turbulent.
“Do you want me to throw you a pity party because women are throwing themselves at you?”
My eyes widened at the look on his face – dead eyes, holding none of the light they did a moment before. The smile fell from my face. The arrogant look I’d been viewing over the last few days was gone. His playful glint replaced with tortured darkness. My jaw slackened as the atmosphere changed.
“They should all stay away from me.” His voice was just above a whisper as he spoke, right before getting up and leaving.
I couldn’t help but stare after him for a few moments before my gaze moved back to the work in front of me. A shiver ran through me as realization dawned.
There was much more to Nathan Thorne then there appeared to be.
